Jekyll Debut!
This post marks the debut of my website. The reason this is named the first HTML post is because the default format is Markdown and I wanted to keep that post in case the HTML one didn't fly so well. It went fine, so here we are. I programmed everything you see here in HTML5 and CSS3 and used Jekyll to build the site and Github-Pages to host it. There's a pretty good learning curve to doing everything myself but it's all free!
I've been working on this site for a while now and I'm really happy that it is finally up and running. Unfortunately there are still some syntactical things I don't understand, so this website is subject to change as I learn more about Jekyll. I also might shell out for a custom domain name, sorry for the long url. Until then bookmark the link, Mom and Dad.
